Think About Turning Today!
Hopefully our "winter" is about over. Those that braved the
cold, snowy conditions for David Nittmann's Demo enjoyed his enthusiasum;and
came away with a few tips to improve or help their own turning. We are
going to try David's suggestion for a
practice session on the
West High students this coming month on the 13th ( same day as our meeting ). If anyone has some dense hardwood (Maple would be ideal) that measures3"X 3"X 6" long that they could donate to the cause, give me a call at 348-3499.
We heard good comments about our video setup
with a mini-cam showing David Nittmann's techniques; and it should be an asset
for our future classes & symposiums.
See you on the 2nd Wed. of this month.

Joke of the Month
My wife came in today and asked if I would go do some turning.
Ahh, I asked, what do you need? Maybe a new dibber or possibly a rolling pin or
a vase? I have Persimmon, Hickory, Mesquite, a little bit of Walnut and a tad of
Oak - what would you like?
Oh, I don't care. I need about six bags of shavings for the flower beds...
It's so nice to know my turning is appreciated.
