Club Origin/History
Yellowstone Woodturners came
into being when Floyd "Creeky" Creekmore and Dan Schindler, after a year of "We
otta's", declared a meeting on January 19, 2000. Seventeen turners from
Billings, Hardin, Laurel, and Park City, Montana, as well as Cody and Powell,
Wyoming gathered at the Dude Rancher Coffee Shop in Billings, Montana for "show
and tell", laughter, sharing, meeting other woodturners, and promoting
woodturning.
Since that original meeting, Yellowstone Woodturners has grown to over 50
members.
The original officers were:
President: Dan Schindler
Vice President: Glenn Hall
Secretary: Milford Eversole aka "Moose"
Treasurer: Floyd Creekmore
Newsletter Editor: Dennis McKnire
The rest, well, is history. . .
