 Think About Turning Today!

Hopefully some sunny days are in store for us in the near future.  I heard one comment last Sunday about forming a committee to get started on building an ark??
Rick Orr from Colorado will be with us as the main part of our program for the June meeting. He will give us the benefit of his recent marathon of making tops (several hundred); plus he is donating some items for an extra raffle. The rest of our program will entail some various ways of producing wheeled vehicles for the fair.
We will pass around a sheet for a sign-up of those willing to fill shifts at the fair booth. ( no need to pick dates yet). Now is the time to get excited about our booth; a new sign is being made ( thank you Don Buska and Jeff Meide, the West High shop teacher ) also planning for entries and booth give-a-ways. We do need several booth chairmen to be in charge for 2-3 days of our time at the Hobby Hall.
Our July program will be a freebee demo from Sam Angelo of Wyoming on his specialty of "from tree to bowl" turning.     Sam will be our Symposium demonstrator along with Alan Lacer this coming Oct.   A & E Committee Chairman, Ray Curtis informs me that $800 of our $1,000 AAW Grant has arrived. If you noticed our club was listed in the last AAW magazine as one of the 84 recipients receiving grants this year.
See you June 11th at Ron's shop,

Don and Stan went to West High again. 6 members enjoyed the session and that will start again next year.
