Think About Turning Today!
Spring is is the air; and more wood is getting cut. That is I have a new source of "Montana" cedar and other wood. Be at our next meeting to learn more; and take home some highly "colorful" raw material.
A generous six $10 gift certificates from Craft Supply showed up in today's mail; so our raffle is already looking good for March.
Due to club members not wanting our West High class on the same day as our monthly meeting it will be on either the 19th or the 26th of March. We'll decide at our meeting. Making tops is on the agenda for this time. Join us if you can help out. This is a club project; and it is fun.
We have been invited to a Bozeman demo on March 28 ( a Friday ) it is an all-day and costs $40. It is done by an Anthony Harris; and he is also doing a two day hands-on the 29th and 30th ( Sat. & Sun.) at $100 per day ( maximum of 5 students ). Call me for more info if you ar interested and can't be at the meeting.
If you haven't paid your 2008 dues get with Wayne Hoffman; as he is handling incoming funds for our Treasurer, Jane Swaby, while she is in Florida taking care of her sister.
Hope to see you at the meeting,
Stan Lambert, Pres

The minutes were corrected (Ray did the audit by himself) and then the group voted to accept them.
Ray’s wife wrote up a thorough report from the Dave Nittman program. Thank you very much. It will be very helpful.
A raffle was held with donated items.
Program
The program was on lathe maintenance by Dave Fredericks and Mick Hogg.
Joke of the Month
A carpenter was giving a evidence about an accident he had witnessed. The judge asked him how far he was from the accident. The carpenter replied "twenty seven feet, six and one half inches". "What? How come your are sure of that distance?", asked the judge. "Well I knew some idiot would ask me. So I measured it!" replied the carpenter.
