Think About Turning Today!

Well the new vinyl windows are in; the wife is happy. A big "thank you" to Lloyd Reimann and his friend for helping set-in the two largest ones. Now with the concrete ready I'm ready to began "construction" on my shop.

How-some-ever we do have a little 'ol symposium coming up; so now's the time to get excited and make your plans for the weekend of Oct. 3 & 4. Bring a friend or anyone else you can talk into getting involved in the exciting world of woodturning! I should not have to remind anyone what a great financial opportunity it is to attend the likes of Trent, Sam, Don, and Martin here locally without the expense of travel and lodging. Lets put the whole program over the top by this next meeting; get involved by helping do some part of the planning or operation; and asking someone to join you for an enlightening weekend.

Other items of interest: Yes we won both award ribbons in the Hobby Hall [ People's Choice & Judges Choice;] AGAINNNN ! Not the most exciting news. Just the same it does high-light the hard work of many and the extra effort of a few with their many hours and enthusiasm. The booth experience is more than winning awards. It is building friend-ships, working with those friends, and enjoying every minute of it. It also lets the public know what a bunch of fun loving guys we try to be.

West High classes are looming ahead of us; Martin and I are looking forward to see what the shop teacher, Jeff Meide, ended up installing for new shop equipment. Quite possibly we need to look at printing of some new club applications as we ran out at the fair. Lets start the next year of club activities by getting involved [ even a small addition to past participation is helpful ] and enjoy the trip! Hope to see everyone at Ron's Shop on Sept. 9th

Stan Lambert, Pres.
